Here's To My Sister(Brother)

Here's to my sister (brother
Remember every day
No matter what I've said
Here's what I'd like to say
I will always love you
Be with you till the end
When no one else is around
I will be your friend
I love my sister (brother)
and I always will
I'm proud to be your brother (sister)
that's how I feel
And someday when we're far away
And the miles keep us apart
I'm gonna whisper
I love my sister
And you'll hear it in your heart
(OR - You will discover
I love my brother
And you'll know it in your heart)

I Have a New Sister
I have a new sister,
they dress her in pink.
I don't know where she came from,
but she's staying, I think.

Mommy and Daddy are now ours to share;
they'll love us both
and I know they'll be fair.
I'll kiss her and hug her
with all of my might;
And I won't mind if she cries
in the middle of the night.

I'll help with her diapers
and with her bath too;
She needs her big brother,
she's so tiny and new.
I'm ready for the challenge;
on me she can depend.
I have a new sister,
I have a new friend.

A Sister is Forever
by Bruce B. Wilmer

A sister's a sister forever,
A bond that diminishes never,
A friend who is kindly and caring,
A sibling God chooses for sharing.
Few ties as deep and profound
And with so much affection abound
Though some thoughts are seldom expressed
Love endures and survives every test.
Of the constants that rest in the heart,
A sister's a primary part.
She'll always be there when you need her-
You listen, you value, you heed her.
As growth, independence you ponder,
Your feelings grow deeper and fonder;
And life tells you one thing that is true:
A sister's a large part of you.

My Sister
She knows just where
I dream to go,
remembers where I've been.
Accepts me just the way I am
and treats me like a friend.
She's someone who is there for me,
no matter where or when.
And every time I'm with her
it's like being home again.

My Sister and Me
We laugh,
we cry,
we make
time fly.
Best friends are we
my sister and me.

A Sister, A Friend
As summer brings the happy times
The autumn winds will whisper
A closer friend I'd never find
Than the one I call my Sister.

The Sister Song
Sometimes we're real close friends.
We stay up late and talk at night.
Other times we don't get along,
There are even times we fight.

But I know she's always there.
And I know she'll always care.
She's my sister.
I love my sister.

I've given her a great, big hug
When she was feeling bad.
And then again I've said some things
That have really made her mad.

But I know she's always there.
And I know she'll always care.
She's my sister.
I love my sister.

But I know she's always there.
And I know she'll always care.
She's my sister.

Wonderful world

God gave us a world to live in, Food to put on our plates, Water to drink when we are thirsty, That flows down rivers and lakes. Animals that live on the land, Birds that fly in the sky, Fish that live in the sea, All these things that please the eye. When will we come to realise, What a beautiful world we have, We should all want good for the earth, Not destruction and all that is bad. So why do we have to fight, Bringing loss, heartbreak and tears, We live our lives each day, With uncertainties, worries and fears. Why is there so much bitterness, Let's say to ourselves it must cease, People should all come together, Then the world will at last live in peace. I see trees of green, red roses too I see them bloom, for me and you. And I think to myself... what a wonderful world. I see skies of blue, and clouds of white The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night. And I think to myself... what a wonderful world. The colors of the rainbow, so pretty i...

The Coldest Winter I Ever Spent Was a Summer in San Francisco

The Coldest Winter I Ever Spent Was a Summer in San Francisco Posted on November 30, 2011 Locale: San Francisco, California? Paris, France? Duluth, Minnesota? Milwaukee, Wisconsin? Originator: Mark Twain? Horace Walpole? James Quin? R. Q. Grant? Lord Byron? Anonymous? Dear Quote Investigator : Living in Menlo Park near San Francisco I have heard the following witticism credited to Mark Twain many times: The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco. The coldest winter I ever saw was the summer I spent in San Francisco. I actually enjoy the weather here, so this saying always seemed implausible to me. Also, the San Francisco Chronicle once printed an article that cast doubt on the Twain attribution. Can you figure out who created this joke? Also, was the remark originally about SF or some other locale? Quote Investigator : There is no evidence in the papers and speeches of Mark Twain that he ever made this remark about San Franc...
